Learn the basics of painting with molten beeswax in this hands-on class. Explore rich textures, glowing layers, and the mesmerizing flow of hot wax as you create luminous works of art. No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Small In-Studio Classes

Classes are held in the art studio (Studio J at the Steinfeld Warehouse). Up to 8 people can fit around the table. All supplies you will need for class are provided: practice wood substrates, cradled wood panel, encaustic medium, encaustic paints (customized color palette available), and use of tools and ephemera. You may take home the pieces that you make!

Pricing

Classes are set up as there is interest.

Generally classes are 3 hours long and $175 per person

For 2+ people booked together - $150 per person.

5-8 booked at once will enjoy an additional discount.
